Are you interested in learning more about refugee issues? Then read the following, which comes to us from WUSC in Ottawa:

Since it began in 1978, the Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR) has had a profound impact on refugee and immigrant rights in Canada. This year, the CCR is marking 30 years of building a home of justice for refugees and immigrants. Participate in the CCR Fall Consultation in Toronto from November 27-29 and join hundreds of refugee and immigrant rights advocates in sessions that cover a wide range of issues affecting refugee protection and newcomer settlement and integration.

Subsidies are available for youth participants who will be traveling to CCR Fall Consultation. Application forms and more information can be found on the Canadian Council for Refugees website.
